Click-to-WhatsApp Ads for Hair and Beauty Salons

By Alva Chew 5 min read Updated October 30, 2026

Hair and beauty salons run click-to-WhatsApp ads for promotions such as keratin treatments, colour packages and first-visit cuts. AeroChat answers the person who clicks straight away, explains the offer, finds a slot with the right stylist in Phorest, Zenoti or Square, and takes a deposit. Colour work that needs a consultation goes to a stylist. It all runs inside Meta’s free window.

What happens today

A keratin promotion brings in messages while every stylist is with a client. Replies wait until the end of the day, and some never get sent.

When they do, it takes several messages to find a time that suits both the client and the right stylist, and then the booking is entered by hand.

How it runs on WhatsApp

  1. The ad opens WhatsApp with a prefilled message, such as “Hi, I’d like the keratin treatment promotion” (example).
  2. AeroChat replies straight away with what the treatment includes, how long it takes and the promotion price. This reply opens the free window.
  3. It asks about hair length, which affects the price, and whether they have a preferred stylist.
  4. It searches your salon system for the client by phone number. If WhatsApp did not pass a number, it asks for one.
  5. It reads free slots for that service and stylist and offers three.
  6. It books the one they pick, creating the client if they are new, and sends a deposit link.
  7. It confirms the booking with the stylist’s name, the time and the address.
  8. Colour corrections and anything that needs a consultation go to a stylist in the inbox.

The recipe

Copy this into AeroChat

When someone messages us from a Facebook or Instagram ad, follow these steps.

  1. Read their first message to see which offer they clicked. “Keratin” means our keratin treatment promotion from S$180 (example). If it is not clear, ask which offer they saw.
  2. Ask about their hair length and give the price for that length from our price list.
  3. Ask if they have a preferred stylist. Search Phorest for the client with their phone number. If there is none, ask for their name and email and create the client.
  4. Check free slots for the treatment with their stylist, or with any stylist who does it, and offer three.
  5. Book the slot they pick and send a S$30 deposit link (example).
  6. When the deposit is paid, confirm the stylist, date, time and address.
  7. If they ask about colour correction or a big colour change, hand the conversation to a senior stylist.

Keep the first reply short and about the offer in the ad. Reply in the customer’s language.

Change the treatment, prices and deposit to your own. For Zenoti, Square or SimplyBook.me, name that system instead and keep the steps.

Connect the systems behind it

  • Phorest. AeroChat finds or creates the client and books the service with the stylist they choose.
  • Zenoti. AeroChat reads free slots by service and staff and books the promotion.
  • Square. AeroChat books the appointment in Square Appointments for salons running Square.
  • SimplyBook.me. AeroChat books the service and provider the client picks.
  • Google Calendar. Built in by connecting a Google account. Smaller salons book straight into each stylist’s calendar.

Airwallex payment links are built in on Growth and up.

Using a different system? If it has a public API, it connects to AeroChat the same way: describe what you want, paste in its key, and it runs.

What it costs on WhatsApp

When someone messages you from a click-to-WhatsApp ad in the WhatsApp app on Android or iOS, and you reply within 24 hours, Meta opens a free window of up to 7 days. AeroChat replies within seconds, so the window opens on every ad chat from a phone. A salon booking from an ad takes a few messages: the offer, the hair length, the stylist and the slot. Within 7 days of your first reply, all of them are free, including the deposit link and the confirmation. Meta Business Agent messages are the only ones still charged in the window. After it closes, service replies are free up to 1,000 a month per business phone number and then charged per message, and templates are charged per message. Rates vary by country and are set in Meta’s rate cards. AeroChat passes Meta’s WhatsApp fees through at cost. The full window rules are on the click-to-WhatsApp ads page.

Also on Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and web chat

The same workflow runs on Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok (direct messages and TikTok Shop buyer chat), Telegram, web chat and email, with the same connections. Ads that open an Instagram or Messenger chat follow their own reply windows: see click-to-Instagram ads and click-to-Messenger ads.

Questions

Can clients book with a specific stylist from the ad?

Yes. AeroChat asks for a preferred stylist and reads that stylist’s free slots. If there is no preference, it offers any stylist who does the service.

What about services that need a consultation?

AeroChat hands colour corrections and anything that needs a consultation to a stylist, who carries on in the same chat.

Are replies to click-to-WhatsApp ad chats free?

Yes, if you reply within 24 hours of the customer’s first message and they messaged from WhatsApp on Android or iOS. That reply opens a free window of up to 7 days, in which service replies and marketing, utility and authentication templates are free. Meta Business Agent messages are still charged.
