Click-to-WhatsApp Ads for Fashion Stores
Fashion stores run click-to-WhatsApp ads for new collections, drops and sales. AeroChat answers the shopper who clicks straight away, helps with size and fit from your size guide, checks stock for the size and colour in Shopify, and sends a payment link so the sale closes in the chat. It all runs inside Meta’s free window.
What happens today
A new collection ad brings in the same questions all evening: is it true to size, is there a medium in black, how long is delivery. The team answers the next day.
By then, the shopper has moved on. Those who do come back are sent to the website to find the item again, and some never finish.
How it runs on WhatsApp
- The ad opens WhatsApp with a prefilled message, such as “Hi, I’d like the linen midi dress” (example).
- AeroChat replies straight away with the item, the price and the colours. This reply opens the free window.
- It asks for their usual size or measurements and answers from your size guide and product notes.
- It checks stock in Shopify for that size and colour, and suggests what is in stock if not.
- It asks for the delivery postcode and quotes shipping from your Shopify rates.
- It sends a payment link for the order, with the ad’s discount applied if there is one.
- It explains your exchange policy for sizes in one line, so the shopper buys with confidence.
- Requests for a person, and order problems, go to your team in the inbox.
The recipe
Copy this into AeroChat
When someone messages us from a Facebook or Instagram ad, follow these steps.
- Read their first message to see which item they clicked. “Linen midi” means our Linen Midi Dress (example). If it is not clear, ask which item they saw.
- Ask what size they usually wear, and answer fit questions from our size guide and the product notes.
- Check stock in Shopify for the size and colour they want. If it is out of stock, offer the nearest size or another colour in stock.
- Ask for their delivery postcode and quote shipping from our Shopify shipping rates.
- If the ad promised a discount, apply the code NEWIN15 (example). Send a payment link for the order total.
- Tell them in one line that sizes can be exchanged within 14 days (example).
- Ask whether they want WhatsApp messages about new drops. If they say yes, add them to Klaviyo with the tag ctwa-linen (example).
Keep the first reply short and about the item in the ad. Reply in the customer’s language.
Change the item, code, exchange period and tag to your own.
Connect the systems behind it
- Klaviyo. AeroChat adds shoppers who want news of new drops, tagged with the ad that brought them.
- Mailchimp. AeroChat adds the shopper to your audience with the ad as a tag.
- Google Sheets. Built in by connecting a Google account. Sellers not on Shopify can sell from a catalogue kept in a Google Sheet.
Shopify is built in for product data, stock by size and colour, shipping rates and discounts. Airwallex payment links are built in on Growth and up.
Using a different system? If it has a public API, it connects to AeroChat the same way: describe what you want, paste in its key, and it runs.

What it costs on WhatsApp
When someone messages you from a click-to-WhatsApp ad in the WhatsApp app on Android or iOS, and you reply within 24 hours, Meta opens a free window of up to 7 days. AeroChat replies within seconds, so the window opens on every ad chat from a phone. A fashion ad chat closes in a few messages: the size answer, the stock check, the shipping quote and the payment link. Within 7 days of your first reply, all of them are free, and so is a message about the next drop to shoppers who opted in. Meta Business Agent messages are the only ones still charged in the window. After it closes, service replies are free up to 1,000 a month per business phone number and then charged per message, and templates are charged per message. Rates vary by country and are set in Meta’s rate cards. AeroChat passes Meta’s WhatsApp fees through at cost. The full window rules are on the click-to-WhatsApp ads page.
Also on Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and web chat
The same workflow runs on Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok (direct messages and TikTok Shop buyer chat), Telegram, web chat and email, with the same connections. Ads that open an Instagram or Messenger chat follow their own reply windows: see click-to-Instagram ads and click-to-Messenger ads.

Questions
Can AeroChat help shoppers choose a size?
Yes, from your size guide and product notes. It asks what size they usually wear and checks stock for that size before it sends a payment link.
Can a shopper buy from the ad without visiting the website?
Yes. AeroChat confirms the item, size and delivery in WhatsApp and sends a payment link. Payment links are on Growth and up.
Are replies to click-to-WhatsApp ad chats free?
Yes, if you reply within 24 hours of the customer’s first message and they messaged from WhatsApp on Android or iOS. That reply opens a free window of up to 7 days, in which service replies and marketing, utility and authentication templates are free. Meta Business Agent messages are still charged.
