Click-to-WhatsApp Ads for Beauty Stores
Beauty stores run click-to-WhatsApp ads for launches, bestsellers and bundles. AeroChat answers the shopper who clicks straight away from your Shopify product data, checks stock for the shade or size, quotes delivery, and sends a payment link so the sale closes in the chat. Shoppers who agree to marketing go into Klaviyo or Mailchimp, tagged with the ad. It all runs inside Meta’s free window.
What happens today
A serum ad brings in questions about ingredients, skin types and shades. They come in at night, and the replies go out the next afternoon, if at all.
Shoppers who were ready to buy are sent to the website to find the product again. Many do not finish, and nobody knows which ad they came from.
How it runs on WhatsApp
- The ad opens WhatsApp with a prefilled message, such as “Hi, I’d like the Hydra Serum” (example). AeroChat knows the product.
- AeroChat replies straight away with the product, the price and what it contains, from your Shopify data. This reply opens the free window.
- It answers questions about ingredients, skin type and use, only from what your product pages say.
- It checks stock in Shopify for the shade or size they want, and suggests the closest one in stock if needed.
- It asks for the delivery postcode and quotes shipping from your Shopify rates.
- It sends a payment link for the order total, with the ad’s discount applied if there is one.
- It asks whether they want messages about new launches, and adds those who say yes to your email or SMS tool with the ad as a tag.
- Questions about a reaction, a skin condition or a medical concern go to your team.
The recipe
Copy this into AeroChat
When someone messages us from a Facebook or Instagram ad, follow these steps.
- Read their first message to see which product they clicked. “Hydra Serum” means our Hydra Serum 30 ml (example). If it is not clear, ask which product they saw.
- Answer their questions from the Shopify product data. Do not say a product treats or prevents any condition.
- Check stock in Shopify for the shade or size they want. If it is out of stock, offer the closest one in stock.
- Ask for their delivery postcode and quote shipping from our Shopify shipping rates.
- If the ad promised a discount, apply the code SERUM10 (example). Send a payment link for the order total.
- Ask whether they want WhatsApp messages about new launches. If they say yes, add them to Klaviyo with the tag ctwa-serum (example).
- If they mention a reaction, broken skin or a medical condition, hand the conversation to our team.
Keep the first reply short and about the product in the ad. Reply in the customer’s language.
Change the product, code and tag to your own. For Mailchimp, name it instead of Klaviyo and keep the steps.
Connect the systems behind it
- Klaviyo. AeroChat adds shoppers who agree to marketing, tagged with the ad, for your launch campaigns.
- Mailchimp. AeroChat adds the shopper to your audience with the ad as a tag.
- Google Sheets. Built in by connecting a Google account. Stores not on Shopify can sell from a catalogue kept in a Google Sheet.
Shopify is built in for product data, stock, shipping rates and discounts. Airwallex payment links are built in on Growth and up.
Using a different system? If it has a public API, it connects to AeroChat the same way: describe what you want, paste in its key, and it runs.

What it costs on WhatsApp
When someone messages you from a click-to-WhatsApp ad in the WhatsApp app on Android or iOS, and you reply within 24 hours, Meta opens a free window of up to 7 days. AeroChat replies within seconds, so the window opens on every ad chat from a phone. A beauty ad chat usually closes in a handful of messages: the product answer, the shade, the shipping quote and the payment link. Within 7 days of your first reply, all of them are free, and so is a launch message to shoppers who opted in during that time. Meta Business Agent messages are the only ones still charged in the window. After it closes, service replies are free up to 1,000 a month per business phone number and then charged per message, and templates are charged per message. Rates vary by country and are set in Meta’s rate cards. AeroChat passes Meta’s WhatsApp fees through at cost. The full window rules are on the click-to-WhatsApp ads page.
Also on Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and web chat
The same workflow runs on Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok (direct messages and TikTok Shop buyer chat), Telegram, web chat and email, with the same connections. Ads that open an Instagram or Messenger chat follow their own reply windows: see click-to-Instagram ads and click-to-Messenger ads.

Questions
Can AeroChat answer ingredient questions from an ad?
Yes, from your product pages. It does not make treatment or medical claims, and it hands questions about reactions or skin conditions to your team.
Can shoppers pay without leaving WhatsApp?
Yes. AeroChat sends a payment link for the order total, and the order goes through your store. Payment links are on Growth and up.
Are replies to click-to-WhatsApp ad chats free?
Yes, if you reply within 24 hours of the customer’s first message and they messaged from WhatsApp on Android or iOS. That reply opens a free window of up to 7 days, in which service replies and marketing, utility and authentication templates are free. Meta Business Agent messages are still charged.
