Book TeamUp Classes from WhatsApp

By Alva Chew 4 min read Updated October 30, 2026

This recipe turns a booking request in chat into a confirmed class registration in TeamUp, with sessions that have space offered in the conversation. Part of connecting TeamUp to WhatsApp and AI chat.

What happens today

A member messages on WhatsApp asking if there is room in tonight’s 7pm class. Whoever replies opens TeamUp, checks the session and registers them by hand. When the reply comes an hour later, the member has already decided not to come. Sending the booking link works for some members, but many prefer to finish in the chat they started.

The flow that works

  1. AeroChat finds out which class the member wants and on which day.
  2. It checks TeamUp for sessions of that class and which have space.
  3. It offers the sessions with space and their times.
  4. It finds the member in TeamUp and registers them for the one they pick.
  5. It confirms the class, date and time.

The recipe

Copy this into AeroChat

When a member asks to book a class, follow these steps.

  1. Ask which class they want, for example Muay Thai fundamentals or vinyasa flow (examples), and which day.
  2. Check TeamUp for sessions of that class on that day.
  3. Offer only sessions that have space, with the start time and instructor. If none have space, check the next 2 days (example).
  4. When they pick one, ask for the email on their TeamUp account and find them in TeamUp.
  5. Register them for that session.
  6. Confirm the class, date, time and what to bring, from our knowledge base.

If TeamUp refuses the registration, for example because their membership does not cover that class, tell them why and offer to hand over to our team. If they are not a customer yet, treat it as a trial enquiry. Reply in the customer’s language.

Change the class names and the number of days to look ahead before you paste it.

What to connect

  • TeamUp. An admin creates an M2M token in your TeamUp business dashboard and copies it. Paste it in when AeroChat asks.
  • Your knowledge base. Upload your class descriptions, what to bring and your address to AeroChat so it can answer questions before it books.

After you paste the recipe, AeroChat builds the workflow as a draft and shows a checklist: connect TeamUp, add your knowledge base if the recipe uses one, then switch it on. If it built the connection from TeamUp’s public documentation, the checklist asks you to check it once against the current docs.

Using a different system? If it has a public API, it connects to AeroChat the same way: describe what you want, paste in its key, and it runs.

What you still decide

  • Which classes AeroChat can book.
  • How far ahead it looks for a session with space.
  • Who gets the conversation when TeamUp refuses a booking.

The result to expect

Members who ask to book in chat leave with a confirmed place, while they still want to come. Your team stops checking sessions by hand, and TeamUp stays the one schedule everyone works from.

Measure it with your own numbers: class registrations made from chat, and the time from first message to booking, for a month before and after.

Next: answer membership and pass questions.

Works on every chat channel

This workflow runs the same way on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, the chat on your website and email, with the same TeamUp connection behind it. See what each channel does on the TeamUp integration page.
