Connect Stripe to WhatsApp and AI Chat
If your business already takes payments with Stripe, AeroChat can use it inside the chat. A customer books, orders or agrees a quote on WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger, and AeroChat sends a Stripe payment link for the exact amount, checks when it is paid and carries on with the booking or order. The money goes to your Stripe account as it does today.
Airwallex payment links are built into AeroChat. Stripe connects through its API, for businesses that already use it.
What you can do with Stripe and AeroChat
- Take a deposit before a booking is confirmed. AeroChat sends the link, and the slot is booked once it is paid.
- Answer “did my payment go through?”. AeroChat checks the payment in Stripe and replies, or sends a fresh link.
- Get paid for an order taken in chat. When the customer confirms what they want, they get a link for the total and pay without leaving the conversation.
- Collect fees and balances. Send a link for an enrolment fee, an invoice balance or a renewal when the customer asks.
- Sell paid extras. Add-ons, upgrades and gift vouchers are paid for in the same chat they are asked for.
How the connection works
AeroChat connects through Stripe’s public API. It creates payment pages and payment links for the amount in the conversation, and it reads the status of a payment so it knows when the customer has paid. If you allow it, it can also look up past payments and create refunds within a limit you set.
To connect, you describe the workflow in plain English, for example “send a deposit link when a customer books and confirm the booking when it is paid”. AeroChat builds the workflow and names the key it needs. You create an API key in your Stripe Dashboard and enter it in the AeroChat dashboard. Stripe recommends a restricted key, which only allows the actions you tick, such as creating payments and reading their status. Keys are entered in the dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When a customer chooses a booking time, send a Stripe payment link for a US$30 deposit (example). Tell them the booking is confirmed once the deposit is paid and that it comes off their final bill. When the payment is confirmed in Stripe, confirm the booking with the date, time and address. If they have not paid, do not confirm the booking.

When a customer asks whether their payment went through, find their most recent payment in Stripe using the email or phone number we have for them. Tell them whether it succeeded, the amount and the date. If it failed or was never made, send a new payment link for the same amount. If they ask for a refund, hand the conversation to a team member.

What stays in Stripe
Stripe stays the record of every payment. Customers pay on Stripe’s own payment page, so card details go to Stripe and never to AeroChat. Payouts, disputes, receipts and reports stay in your Stripe Dashboard as they are now. AeroChat handles the conversation: when to send the link, what to say when it is paid, and what to do when it is not.
