Take Estimate Requests from WhatsApp with Housecall Pro
This recipe turns a “how much would it cost to…” message into an estimate request in Housecall Pro, with the details your team needs to price it. Part of the Housecall Pro integration.
What happens today
A customer asks for a price to replace a water heater. Someone replies asking for the model, the location and photos, over several messages. Then the details are copied into Housecall Pro by hand, often missing the one thing the estimator needed.
The flow that works
- The customer describes the work. If it is on your fixed price list, AeroChat gives the price and offers to book.
- For anything else, it asks your estimator’s questions and asks for photos.
- It creates the customer if they are new, then an estimate or lead in Housecall Pro with the details and a chat summary.
- It tells the customer when to expect the estimate, or offers a site visit if you price on site.
The recipe
Copy this into AeroChat
When a customer asks for a price, check our price list first. If the work is on it, give the price and offer to book it. If not, ask what work they need, the brand and model if there is one, the address, and ask for one or two photos. Find the customer in Housecall Pro by phone number, or create them with their name, email and address. Create an estimate in Housecall Pro for that customer with a description of the work and a summary of the chat. Tell them our team will send the estimate within one working day (example). If the job needs a site visit to price, offer to book one instead. Never estimate a price for work that is not on the price list.
What to connect
- Housecall Pro. The same API key as the booking recipe, generated under API key management in Housecall Pro’s app store.
- Your fixed price list. Upload it to the AeroChat knowledge base.
Using a different system? If it has a public API, it connects to AeroChat the same way: describe what you want, paste in its key, and it runs.
