Turn WhatsApp Enquiries into Wave Estimates
This recipe turns a price enquiry in chat into a customer and an estimate in Wave, ready for you to review and send. Part of connecting Wave to WhatsApp and AI chat.
What happens today
A new customer messages on Instagram asking how much a job would cost. You are busy, so the details sit in the chat until the weekend, when you create the customer in Wave and write the estimate. By then they have booked someone who answered sooner.
The flow that works
- AeroChat asks what they need, the address and when.
- It finds the matching products or services in Wave and gives your standard prices.
- It finds the customer in Wave by email, or creates them.
- It creates an estimate with the items and a note of the request.
- It tells the customer when to expect the final estimate, and you review and send it from Wave.
The recipe
Copy this into AeroChat
When someone asks for a price or an estimate, follow these steps.
- Ask what they need done, the address, and when they would like it done. Ask for a photo if it helps describe the job.
- Find the matching products or services in Wave. Reply with our standard prices for those items, and say the final estimate may change after we see the job.
- Ask for their name, email and phone if we do not have them.
- Search Wave for a customer with that email. If there is none, create one with their name, email, phone and address.
- Create an estimate for that customer with the items. Add a note with the address, the timing and anything else they asked for.
- Tell them I will review and send the estimate within one working day (example). If the job is outside our service area or over 2,000 in our currency (example), hand the conversation to me.
Only quote prices from Wave. Never promise a discount or a start date. Reply in the customer’s language.
Change the questions, the review time and the handover limit to your own before you paste it.
What to connect
- Wave. Approve AeroChat’s access to your Wave business when AeroChat asks. It reads products and services and customers, and creates customers and estimates. Wave lets a business connect outside apps on its Pro plan. There is no key to copy.
- Your products and services. Keep current prices on your items in Wave, because that is where AeroChat reads them.
After you paste the recipe, AeroChat builds the workflow as a draft and shows a checklist: connect Wave, add your knowledge base if the recipe uses one, then switch it on. If it built the connection from Wave’s public documentation, the checklist asks you to check it once against the current docs.
Using a different system? If it has a public API, it connects to AeroChat the same way: describe what you want, paste in its key, and it runs.

What you still decide
- Which questions AeroChat asks before it creates the estimate.
- Which jobs come straight to you.
- When you review and send the estimate.
The result to expect
Every price enquiry from chat becomes a customer and an estimate in Wave, with the details already filled in. You review and send instead of retyping, and new customers hear back the same day.
Measure it with your own numbers: time from enquiry to estimate sent, and estimates accepted, for a month before and after.
Next: answer invoice questions in chat.
Works on every chat channel
This workflow runs the same way on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, the chat on your website and email, with the same Wave connection behind it. See what each channel does on the Wave integration page.
