Connect Salesmate to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and AI Chat
Leads and customers message you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, web chat or email, but your pipeline lives in Salesmate. AeroChat answers those conversations in both directions. It checks Salesmate when a customer asks where their quote or order stands, and it records what they tell you as it goes: the contact, the answers that qualify them, the deal and a note of the conversation. It connects through Salesmate’s public API. You describe the workflow in your own words, and AeroChat builds it.
What you can do with Salesmate and AeroChat
- Send chat leads to Salesmate. When someone leaves their name and email or phone in chat, AeroChat finds or creates the contact and adds a note of the conversation.
- Qualify leads and open deals. AeroChat asks your qualifying questions, records the answers on the contact and creates a deal in the right stage.
- Answer deal status questions. AeroChat finds the customer’s deal and tells them what its stage means for them, in words you choose.
- Recognise returning contacts. AeroChat looks the person up by phone or email and uses what Salesmate already knows, such as their owner and open deals.
- Hand hot leads to the right person. AeroChat passes the conversation to the contact’s owner in Salesmate, with a summary.

How the connection works
AeroChat connects through Salesmate’s public REST API. It reads and writes contacts, companies, deals and activities, and adds notes to them. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for.
To connect, open My Account from your profile icon in Salesmate and go to Access Key. Copy the key shown there, as described in Salesmate’s API documentation, and paste it into the AeroChat dashboard when AeroChat asks.
You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which Salesmate calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When someone gives their name and email or phone number in chat, search Salesmate for a contact with that email or phone. If there is one, update it. If not, create a contact with their name, email, phone and the channel they used. Add a note with a short summary of what they asked about. Set the source to chat (example).

When a customer asks where their quote or order stands, find their contact in Salesmate by phone or email and look up their open deal. Tell them what its stage means: Proposal sent means “your quote is with you, reply here with any questions”, In progress means “we are working on it and will update you by Friday” (examples). If there is no open deal, ask for their reference number and hand the conversation to our team.

Does AeroChat work with Salesmate?
Yes. AeroChat connects through Salesmate’s public API with an API key from your Salesmate account.
Can WhatsApp leads go straight into Salesmate?

Do I need a developer?
