How the connection works
AeroChat connects through Copper’s public API. It reads people, companies, leads, opportunities and projects, and it creates and updates leads, people, opportunities, tasks and activities. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for.
To connect, you generate an API key in Copper under Settings, then API Keys, as described in Copper’s developer documentation. Paste the key and the email address of the user who created it into the AeroChat dashboard when AeroChat asks.
You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which Copper calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When someone gives their name and email in chat, search Copper for a person or lead with that email. If there is one, update it. If not, create a lead with their name, email, phone, company if they gave one, and the channel they used as the source. Log an activity on the record with a short summary of what they asked about.

When a client asks how their project is going, find their person in Copper by email or phone and the projects linked to them. Tell them the project status and who is running it. If they need something, create a task for the project assignee with what they asked for, due the next working day (example).

Any business that tracks its clients and pipeline in Copper can use it. That includes agencies, consultancies and professional service firms that work in Google Workspace and manage client projects after the sale.

Copper stays your record. People, companies, opportunities, projects and reports live there, and your team still runs the projects and closes the deals.
