Connect Acuity Scheduling to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and AI Chat
Clients message you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, web chat or email to book, but your diary lives in Acuity Scheduling. AeroChat answers those conversations and works in Acuity as it goes: it checks free times, books the appointment, finds the client’s booking and moves or cancels it. It connects through Acuity Scheduling’s public API. You describe the workflow in your own words, and AeroChat builds it.
What you can do with Acuity Scheduling and AeroChat
- Book Acuity appointments from chat. AeroChat checks free times for the service the client wants and books the one they pick, with their name, email and phone.
- Reschedule or cancel in chat. AeroChat finds the client’s appointment, offers new times and moves it, or cancels it when they ask.
- Answer “when is my appointment?”. AeroChat looks up the client’s upcoming appointments and replies with the date, time and service.
- Quote from your services. AeroChat reads your Acuity appointment types, so it names the right service, length and price.
- Record what the client said. AeroChat fills your intake form fields on the booking with the answers given in chat.
Works on every chat channel
Your clients message you wherever they already are. The same Acuity Scheduling connection and the same workflows run on every channel AeroChat supports, and Acuity stays the record whichever one they use.
| Channel | What your clients can do |
|---|---|
| Message your WhatsApp Business number to book, move, cancel or check an appointment. Voice notes are transcribed, so a spoken request works too. | |
| Send the same requests by direct message. A comment on your post can get an automatic reply that moves the conversation to a DM. | |
| Facebook Messenger | Send the same requests to your Facebook Page. Comments on your Page posts can get an automatic reply too. |
| TikTok | Send the same requests by TikTok direct message or TikTok Shop buyer chat. Both arrive in the same TikTok inbox. |
| Telegram | Send the same requests to your business on Telegram. |
| Web chat | Do the same from the chat on your website, without leaving the page. |
| Write to your Gmail or Office 365 address and get the same answer the chat gives. |
How the connection works
AeroChat connects through Acuity Scheduling’s public API. It reads your appointment types, calendars, free dates and times, and your clients’ appointments. It creates appointments, reschedules them and cancels them. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for.
To connect, open Integrations in Acuity Scheduling and find the API section. Copy your User ID and API key. Acuity includes API access on some plans only, so check yours under your account’s billing settings. Enter both values in the AeroChat dashboard when AeroChat asks.
You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which Acuity calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When a client asks to book, find out which service they want and the day and time they prefer. Check Acuity Scheduling for free times for that appointment type and offer up to three closest to what they asked for. When they choose one, ask for their first name, last name, email and phone number, and book the appointment in Acuity. Confirm the service, date, time and our address. Only quote services and prices from Acuity.

When a client asks when their appointment is, ask for the email they booked with. Find their upcoming appointments in Acuity Scheduling and reply with the service, date and time of the next one. If you cannot find them, ask for the phone number on the booking. Never share another client’s details.

Any business that runs its appointments in Acuity Scheduling can use it. Spas, salons, wellness practitioners, coaches and tutors use it for bookings that arrive in chat. These recipes cover the same work:
