Connect Power Automate to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and AI Chat

By Alva Chew 6 min read Updated October 30, 2026

Customers message you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, web chat or email, and your team works in Microsoft 365 with Power Automate flows behind it. AeroChat answers those conversations, sends the details to a flow that starts when an HTTP request is received, and uses what the flow sends back through its Response action. A customer can ask for an order or account status and get the answer your flow finds in SharePoint, Excel or Dataverse, or make a request that your flow records. You describe the workflow in your own words, and AeroChat builds it.

What you can do with Power Automate and AeroChat

  • Send chat requests into Power Automate. When a customer makes a request, AeroChat sends the details and your flow adds it to a SharePoint list or Dataverse table and alerts your team in Teams or Outlook.
  • Answer status questions from your flows. AeroChat sends the order or account number, and your flow returns the status from the list or table that holds it.
  • Recognise returning customers. AeroChat sends the phone number or email, and your flow returns what your records hold, such as their account manager.
  • Check stock or availability before confirming. Your flow reads the figure from Excel, SharePoint or Dataverse and returns it to the chat.
  • Hand over to the right team. Your flow posts the conversation summary to the right Teams channel.

Works on every chat channel

Your customers message you wherever they already are. The same Power Automate flow and the same workflows run on every channel AeroChat supports, and your flows run the same way whichever one they use.

Channel What your customers can do
WhatsApp Message your WhatsApp Business number to ask for a status or make a request that your Power Automate flow handles. Voice notes are transcribed, so a spoken request works too.
Instagram Send the same requests by direct message. A comment on your post can get an automatic reply that moves the conversation to a DM.
Facebook Messenger Send the same requests to your Facebook Page. Comments on your Page posts can get an automatic reply too.
TikTok Send the same requests by TikTok direct message or TikTok Shop buyer chat. Both arrive in the same TikTok inbox.
Telegram Send the same requests to your business on Telegram.
Web chat Do the same from the chat on your website, without leaving the page.
Email Write to your Gmail or Office 365 address and get the same answer the chat gives.

How the connection works

AeroChat connects through the Power Automate trigger called When an HTTP request is received. You start a cloud flow with that trigger, give it a JSON schema for the fields AeroChat will send, and save the flow. Power Automate then shows the HTTP URL, which you copy into AeroChat. AeroChat sends the details your recipe names to that URL, and the flow runs.

To send an answer back, add a Response action and set its status code and body to the data the chat needs, for example an order status. AeroChat reads the body and uses it in the conversation. The trigger has a setting for who can trigger the flow. New flows default to users in your Microsoft tenant, which needs a Microsoft sign-in token, so the flow AeroChat calls is set to Anyone, where the secret URL is the key. Microsoft describes these options in authentication for HTTP request triggers. The trigger is a premium connector, so check that your Power Automate licence includes it.

You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out what to send and what to expect back, and asks you to paste in your flow’s HTTP URL. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

Workflows to copy

Copy this into AeroChat

When a customer asks about their order, ask for the order number. Send the order number and their phone number to our Power Automate flow. The flow replies with status and delivery_date (example fields). Tell the customer both. If the flow replies that it found no order, hand the conversation to our team with the number they gave.

When a customer asks for a quote or a callback, ask for their name, company, email, what they need and the quantity (example fields). Send these with their phone number and the channel they used to our Power Automate flow. Tell them the request number the flow sends back, and that our team will reply within one working day (example).

Who uses it

Businesses that run on Microsoft 365 often keep their orders, accounts and requests in SharePoint lists, Excel tables or Dataverse, and automate around them with Power Automate. That includes distributors and suppliers, professional services firms and facilities teams. If a flow can look it up or record it, a customer can ask for it in chat.

What stays in Power Automate

Power Automate and Microsoft 365 stay your record and your automation. Your flows, the SharePoint lists, Excel tables and Dataverse tables they use, and the run history stay there, and you edit them as you do today.

AeroChat handles the conversation. It collects the details, calls your flow and uses the response. What the flow does with the data is up to you.

Questions

Does AeroChat work with Power Automate?

Yes. AeroChat sends the details from each chat to a flow that starts when an HTTP request is received, and uses the body your flow returns through a Response action.

Can a Power Automate flow send an answer back to the chat?

Yes. When the flow ends with a Response action, AeroChat reads the body it returns and uses it in its reply to the customer.

Do I need a developer?

No, if you can build a cloud flow. You describe the AeroChat side in your own words, paste in the flow’s HTTP URL, and switch it on. AeroChat shows a checklist of what is left to do.

Which plan do I need?

Workflows via Skills are on every plan, Free included. Choose by message volume: Starter covers 500 AI responses a month and 3 seats, Growth covers 2,000 responses and 10 seats and adds payment links and broadcasts, and Advanced covers 5,000 responses and 25 seats.

Using a different system? If it has a public API, it connects to AeroChat the same way: describe what you want, paste in its key, and it runs.
