Connect monday.com to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and AI Chat
Customers and clients message you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, web chat or email with new requests and questions about work in progress, but your team tracks that work in monday.com. AeroChat answers those conversations in both directions. It checks monday.com when a customer asks how their job is going, and it turns what they ask for into an item on the right board, with the details your team needs. It connects through monday.com’s public API. You describe the workflow in your own words, and AeroChat builds it.
What you can do with monday.com and AeroChat
- Turn chat requests into monday.com items. AeroChat collects the details your team needs and creates an item on the right board with the customer’s contact and a summary.
- Answer job status questions. AeroChat finds the customer’s item, reads its status and tells them what it means, in words you choose.
- Add follow-up messages to the item. When a customer sends more details later, AeroChat adds them as an update on the existing item, so nothing sits in a chat thread.
- Sort requests by type. AeroChat puts quote requests, repairs and complaints (examples) on different boards or assigns them to the right person.
- Hand over with context. When a request needs a person, AeroChat hands the conversation over with a link to the item.
Works on every chat channel
Your customers and clients message you wherever they already are. The same monday.com connection and the same workflows run on every channel AeroChat supports, and monday.com stays the record whichever one they use.
| Channel | What your customers and clients can do |
|---|---|
| Message your WhatsApp Business number to send a new request, add details to it or ask how their job is going. Voice notes are transcribed, so a spoken request works too. | |
| Send the same requests by direct message. A comment on your post can get an automatic reply that moves the conversation to a DM. | |
| Facebook Messenger | Send the same requests to your Facebook Page. Comments on your Page posts can get an automatic reply too. |
| TikTok | Send the same requests by TikTok direct message or TikTok Shop buyer chat. Both arrive in the same TikTok inbox. |
| Telegram | Send the same requests to your business on Telegram. |
| Web chat | Do the same from the chat on your website, without leaving the page. |
| Write to your Gmail or Office 365 address and get the same answer the chat gives. |
How the connection works
AeroChat connects through the monday.com API. It reads and writes boards, items and column values, finds items by a column value such as a phone number, and posts updates on items. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for.
To connect, open your profile picture in monday.com, choose Developers and copy your API token. Account admins can also find it under Administration, then Connections. The token has the same access as the person who created it, so use an account that can see the boards the workflow uses. Paste it into the AeroChat dashboard when AeroChat asks.
You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which monday.com calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.
Workflows to copy
Copy this into AeroChat
When a customer asks for a repair, a quote or other work, ask for their name, address, what they need and a preferred date. Create an item on the Service Requests board (example) named with their name and the job, with their phone number in the Phone column and the details in the board’s columns and an update on the item. Tell them we have logged the request and our team will confirm the date.
Copy this into AeroChat
When a customer asks how their job is going, find the open item on the Service Requests board (example) with a Phone column value that matches the customer’s number. Read its status and reply with the matching message: Scheduled means “your job is booked, our team will message you the day before”, In progress means “our team is working on it now”, Done means “your job is complete, reply here if anything is not right” (examples). If you cannot find the item, ask for their name and hand the conversation to our team.
Who uses it
Service businesses, agencies, workshops and production teams track client work in monday.com. These recipes follow the same pattern:
- Aircon and home services, for repair and maintenance jobs that start in chat.
- Service booking
- Technician arrival updates
What stays in monday.com
monday.com stays your record of the work. Boards, items, statuses, owners, timelines and dashboards live there, and your team still plans, assigns and finishes the work.
AeroChat handles the conversation. It looks up what the customer asks about, creates and updates the records your recipe asks for, and leaves the rest to monday.com and your team.
