Connect HitPay to WhatsApp and AI Chat
If your business already takes payments with HitPay, AeroChat can use it inside the chat. A customer orders, books or agrees a price on WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger, and AeroChat sends a HitPay checkout link for the exact amount. When the payment completes, it confirms the order or booking in the same conversation. The money goes to your HitPay account as it does today.
Airwallex payment links are built into AeroChat. HitPay connects through its API, for businesses that already use it.
What you can do with HitPay and AeroChat
- Take an order and the payment in one chat. The customer confirms what they want, pays by link and gets the order confirmation.
- Take a deposit before a booking is confirmed. The slot is booked once HitPay shows the deposit as paid.
- Collect fees and renewals. Send a link for an enrolment fee, a membership renewal or a package top-up when the customer asks.
- Answer “did my payment go through?” AeroChat checks the payment request in HitPay and replies, or sends a new link.
- Sell vouchers and paid extras. Gift vouchers, add-ons and upgrades are paid for in the chat they are asked for.
How the connection works
AeroChat connects through HitPay’s public API. For each payment, it creates a payment request for the amount and currency in the conversation. HitPay returns a checkout link, which AeroChat sends to the customer. AeroChat then checks the status of that payment request, and only treats it as paid when HitPay reports it completed. HitPay can also send a signed notification when a payment completes, which is checked with your salt value so it cannot be faked.
To connect, you describe the workflow in plain English, for example “send a payment link when a customer confirms an order and confirm it when it is paid”. AeroChat builds the workflow and names what it needs. You copy your API key and salt from your HitPay Dashboard and enter them in the AeroChat dashboard. If the checklist shows a webhook address, add it in HitPay under Developers, Webhook Endpoints, for the completed payment request event. Keys are entered in the dashboard and never pass through the conversation.
HitPay documents its payment request API in its online payments guide. HitPay has a sandbox, so you can test the flow with sandbox keys before you switch to live ones.
Workflows to copy
Copy this into AeroChat
When a customer confirms an order, create a HitPay payment request for the order total with the order number as the reference, and send the checkout link in the chat. Tell them the order is confirmed once payment is received. When HitPay shows the payment as completed, confirm the order with the items, total and expected delivery time. Do not confirm an order that has not been paid.

When a customer chooses a booking time, create a HitPay payment request for a US$25 deposit (example) and send the checkout link. When HitPay shows it as completed, add the booking to our calendar and send the confirmation with the date, time and address. If they ask to pay another way, hand the conversation to a team member.
Change the amounts and rules to your own before you paste them.
Who uses it
These industry recipes take payment by link, with HitPay as an option for businesses that already use it:
- Spa booking with a deposit
- Salon booking with the client’s stylist
- Tuition enrolment with payment
- Holiday programme sign-ups
- Event and catering deposits
- Trade orders and repeat orders
What stays in HitPay
HitPay stays the record of every payment. Customers pay on HitPay’s own checkout page, so payment details go to HitPay and never to AeroChat. Payouts, refunds and reports stay in your HitPay Dashboard as they are now. AeroChat handles the conversation: when to send the link, what to say when it is paid, and when to pass a question to your team.
Questions
Does AeroChat work with HitPay?
Yes. It connects through HitPay’s public API with the API key and salt from your HitPay Dashboard. Airwallex is the payment option built into AeroChat, and HitPay is there for businesses that already use it.
Can customers pay through WhatsApp?
Yes. AeroChat sends a HitPay checkout link in the WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger chat. The customer taps it, pays on HitPay’s page with any method you have switched on, and the conversation carries on once the payment completes.
Do I need a developer?
No. You describe the workflow or paste a recipe, and AeroChat builds it as a draft. The checklist tells you which HitPay details to copy and where to enter them.
Which plan do I need?
Payment links are included from the Growth plan, which also includes 2,000 AI responses a month and WhatsApp broadcasts. Advanced includes 5,000 AI responses a month. HitPay’s own fees are charged by HitPay as usual.
Using a different system? If it has a public API, it connects to AeroChat the same way: describe what you want, paste in its key, and it runs.
