Connect Fergus to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and AI Chat

By Alva Chew 5 min read Updated October 30, 2026

Customers message you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, web chat or email to ask for a tradesperson, chase a quote or check when you are coming, but your jobs live in Fergus. AeroChat answers those conversations and works from Fergus as it goes: it creates the enquiry, reads the quote, the job and the calendar, and records the customer’s answer. It connects through Fergus’s public API. You describe the workflow in your own words, and AeroChat builds it.

What you can do with Fergus and AeroChat

  • Send chat enquiries to Fergus. AeroChat collects the work, the site address and the contact details and creates an enquiry for your office to turn into a job.
  • Answer quote and job questions in chat. AeroChat reads the customer’s quote or job in Fergus, replies with its status and records their acceptance when they say yes.
  • Tell customers when you are coming. AeroChat reads the calendar events on their job and replies with the next visit.
  • Answer invoice questions. AeroChat finds the customer’s invoices in Fergus and replies with the amount and due date.
  • Log what the customer said. AeroChat adds a note to the job with access details or questions from the chat.

Works on every chat channel

Your customers message you wherever they already are. The same Fergus connection and the same workflows run on every channel AeroChat supports, and Fergus stays the record whichever one they use.

Channel What your customers can do
WhatsApp Message your WhatsApp Business number to send an enquiry, check or accept a quote or ask when you are coming. Voice notes are transcribed, so a spoken request works too.
Instagram Send the same requests by direct message. A comment on your post can get an automatic reply that moves the conversation to a DM.
Facebook Messenger Send the same requests to your Facebook Page. Comments on your Page posts can get an automatic reply too.
TikTok Send the same requests by TikTok direct message or TikTok Shop buyer chat. Both arrive in the same TikTok inbox.
Telegram Send the same requests to your business on Telegram.
Web chat Do the same from the chat on your website, without leaving the page.
Email Write to your Gmail or Office 365 address and get the same answer the chat gives.

How the connection works

AeroChat connects through the public Fergus API. It reads customers, sites, jobs, quotes, calendar events and invoices, and it can create enquiries, create and update customers and sites, add notes and mark a quote as accepted. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for.

To connect, an Admin or Full User in Fergus opens Settings, then Integrations, selects Fergus API and generates a personal access token. Copy it straight away, because Fergus shows it once. Paste it into the AeroChat dashboard when AeroChat asks.

You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which Fergus calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When someone asks for a tradesperson or a quote, ask what work they need, the site address and the best time to reach them. Create an enquiry in Fergus with their name, phone, email, the site address and a short description of the work, and note the channel they used. Tell them our office will call within one working day (example).

When a customer asks when we are coming, find their customer in Fergus by phone number and read their open jobs. Reply with the job, its status and the date and time of the next calendar event on it. If they send access details, add a note to the job. If they want to change the time, hand the conversation to our office.

What stays in Fergus

Fergus stays your record. Enquiries, jobs, quotes, the calendar, timesheets, materials and invoices live there, and your team still prices, schedules, completes and invoices the work in Fergus.

AeroChat handles the conversation. It creates and updates the records your recipe asks for and leaves the rest to Fergus and your team.
