What you can do with Eat App and AeroChat
- Take table reservations on WhatsApp. Check availability for the party size and time, offer the nearest slots and create the booking in Eat App.
- Change or cancel a reservation in chat. Find the booking, move it or update the party size, or cancel it.
- Hand large groups to your team. Collect the date, size and occasion, and pass groups above your limit to a person.
- Answer menu and dietary questions. Reply from your menu and allergen notes in the knowledge base.
- Take a deposit for special dates. Send a payment link in the chat before the booking is confirmed.
How the connection works
AeroChat connects through Eat App’s API (Eat App API documentation). Through it, AeroChat reads your restaurant’s availability and reservations, and creates, updates and cancels reservations.
Eat App issues API keys itself. Ask Eat App support or your account manager to turn on API access for your restaurant and give you the key. You describe the workflow in plain English, AeroChat builds it and asks for the key by name. You enter the key in the AeroChat dashboard. It never passes through the conversation.

When a guest asks for a table, ask for the date, time and number of people. Check availability in Eat App. If the time is free, offer it. If not, offer the two nearest free times. When they choose, ask for their name and create the reservation in Eat App with their phone number and any notes, such as a birthday or a high chair. Confirm the date, time, party size and our address. For groups of more than 10 (example), do not book. Collect the details and hand the conversation to our team.

What stays in Eat App
Eat App stays your reservation book: tables, covers, floor plan, guest notes and reminders. You set how many covers you release for booking there. AeroChat handles the conversation and creates or changes the reservation, and never seats a table Eat App has not shown as free.
