Connect Attio to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and AI Chat
Leads and customers message you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, web chat or email, but your pipeline lives in Attio. AeroChat answers those conversations in both directions. It checks Attio when a customer asks where their deal or onboarding stands, and it records what they tell you as it goes: the person record, the answers that qualify them, the deal and a note of the conversation. - Send chat leads to Attio. When someone leaves their name and email or phone in chat, AeroChat finds or creates the person record and adds a note of the conversation.
- Qualify leads and open deals. AeroChat asks your qualifying questions, records the answers on the person record and creates a deal in the right stage.
- Answer deal status questions. AeroChat finds the customer’s deal and tells them what its stage means for them, in words you choose.
- Recognise returning people. AeroChat looks the person up by phone or email and uses what Attio already knows, such as their owner and open deals.
- Hand hot leads to the right person. AeroChat passes the conversation to the person record’s owner in Attio, with a summary.

How the connection works
AeroChat connects through Attio’s public REST API. It reads and writes records in your objects, such as people, companies and deals, and adds list entries, notes and tasks. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for.
To connect, generate an API key in your Attio workspace’s developer settings. Choose the scopes the workflow needs, for example read and write access to records and notes, and copy the key. Paste it into the AeroChat dashboard when AeroChat asks.
You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which Attio calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When someone gives their name and email or phone number in chat, search Attio for a person record with that email or phone. If there is one, update it. If not, create a person record with their name, email, phone and the channel they used. Add a note with a short summary of what they asked about. Set the source to chat (example).

When a customer asks where their deal or onboarding stands, find their person record in Attio by phone or email and look up their open deal. Tell them what its stage means: Proposal sent means “your proposal is with you, reply here with any questions”, Onboarding means “your account manager will confirm your start date this week” (examples). If there is no open deal, ask for their reference number and hand the conversation to our team.

What stays in Attio

Can WhatsApp leads go straight into Attio?

Do I need a developer?
