Connect MailerLite to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and AI Chat
Customers and subscribers message you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, web chat or email, but your marketing list lives in MailerLite. AeroChat answers those conversations and works with MailerLite as it goes. It checks whether someone is subscribed and what they signed up for, and it adds or updates them with their consent, records their interests and unsubscribes them when they ask. What you can do with MailerLite and AeroChat
- Add chat contacts to your group with consent. When someone agrees in chat to hear from you, AeroChat adds or updates them in MailerLite with a record of how and when they agreed. Nobody is added without a yes.
- Answer subscription questions and unsubscribe on request. AeroChat checks the subscriber in MailerLite, tells them what they are signed up for, and unsubscribes them or narrows what they get when they ask.
- Recognise returning subscribers. AeroChat looks up the subscriber by email and uses what MailerLite already knows, such as their groups and custom fields.
- Sort subscribers by interest. When someone asks about a topic, AeroChat adds them to the matching group so your campaigns and automations pick them up.
- Record what they told you. AeroChat fills custom fields such as their city or what they asked about, so your segments stay current.

How the connection works
AeroChat connects through MailerLite’s public API. It reads and writes subscribers and their status, groups, custom fields, and each subscriber’s email activity counts. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for. AeroChat adds someone to a marketing group only after they agree in the conversation.
To connect, an admin opens Integrations in MailerLite, chooses MailerLite API, generates a new token and copies it. MailerLite’s API documentation explains the token and the API. Paste the token into the AeroChat dashboard when AeroChat asks.
You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which MailerLite calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When someone in chat says they want to hear about new classes or offers, ask for their email and confirm they agree to receive marketing emails from us. Only if they say yes, add or update them as a subscriber in MailerLite with their name and email, and add them to our Newsletter group (example). If they say no, carry on helping and add nothing.

When someone asks about a topic we cover, such as beginner classes or retreats (example), find their subscriber in MailerLite by email. Add them to the group for that topic, such as Interest: Retreats (example). Set the custom field last_chat_topic to the topic (example). Do not change their subscription status. Reply in the customer’s language.

Any business that sends a regular newsletter through MailerLite can use it, such as studios, course creators, small online stores and local service businesses that grow their list from enquiries.
What stays in MailerLite
MailerLite stays your record. Your subscribers, groups, segments, campaigns, automations, forms and reporting live there, and your team still writes and sends the campaigns.
AeroChat handles the conversation. It reads and updates the subscriber records your recipe asks for and leaves the rest to MailerLite and your team.

Yes. AeroChat connects through MailerLite’s public API with an API token you generate in MailerLite.
Can WhatsApp contacts join my MailerLite group?
Yes, when they agree in the chat. AeroChat asks first, and only adds them to your group in MailerLite after a clear yes. If they say no, it carries on helping and adds nothing.
Do I need a developer?
No. You describe the workflow in your own words, generate an API token in MailerLite and paste it in, and switch it on. AeroChat builds the MailerLite connection from your description and shows a checklist of what is left to do.
