Connect Brevo to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and AI Chat
Customers and subscribers message you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, web chat or email, but your marketing list lives in Brevo. AeroChat answers those conversations and works with Brevo as it goes. It checks whether someone is subscribed and what they signed up for, and it adds or updates them with their consent, records their interests and unsubscribes them when they ask. It connects through Brevo’s public API. You describe the workflow in your own words, and AeroChat builds it.
What you can do with Brevo and AeroChat
- Add chat contacts to your list with consent. When someone agrees in chat to hear from you, AeroChat adds or updates them in Brevo with a record of how and when they agreed. Nobody is added without a yes.
- Answer subscription questions and unsubscribe on request. AeroChat checks the subscriber in Brevo, tells them what they are signed up for, and unsubscribes them or narrows what they get when they ask.
- Recognise returning contacts. AeroChat looks up the contact by email and uses what Brevo already knows, such as their lists and the last campaign sent to them.
- Sort contacts by interest. When someone asks about a product line or service, AeroChat adds them to the matching interest list or sets a contact attribute your segments use.
- Log what happened in chat. AeroChat sends a custom event, such as a chat enquiry, to the contact so your automations can act on it.

How the connection works
AeroChat connects through Brevo’s public API. It reads and writes contacts and their attributes, lists, the email blocklist status that marks an unsubscribe, the campaigns sent to a contact, custom events, and the ecommerce orders you sync to Brevo. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for. AeroChat adds someone to a marketing list only after they agree in the conversation.
To connect, an admin creates an API key in Brevo’s SMTP and API settings and copies it. Brevo’s developer documentation explains the key and the API. Paste the key into the AeroChat dashboard when AeroChat asks.
You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which Brevo calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When someone in chat says they want to hear about offers or new products, ask for their email and confirm they agree to receive marketing emails from us. Only if they say yes, create or update their contact in Brevo with their first name and email, add them to our Newsletter list (example), and set the attribute SIGNUP_CHANNEL to the channel they used. If they say no, carry on helping and add nothing.
Copy this into AeroChat
When someone asks about a product line or service, find their contact in Brevo by email. Add them to the interest list for that topic, such as Interest: Wedding cakes (example), and set the attribute LAST_CHAT_TOPIC to the topic (example). Send a custom event called chat_enquiry (example) for the contact. Do not change their subscription status. Reply in the customer’s language.

Any business that sends its newsletters, offers and transactional emails through Brevo can use it, from online stores to restaurants, clinics and training providers that keep their customer list there.
What stays in Brevo
Brevo stays your record. Your contacts, lists, segments, campaigns, automations and reporting live there, and your team still writes and sends the campaigns.
AeroChat handles the conversation. It reads and updates the subscriber records your recipe asks for and leaves the rest to Brevo and your team.

Does AeroChat work with Brevo?
Yes. AeroChat connects through Brevo’s public API with an API key you create in Brevo.
Can WhatsApp contacts join my Brevo list?
Yes, when they agree in the chat. AeroChat asks first, and only adds them to your list in Brevo after a clear yes. If they say no, it carries on helping and adds nothing.
Do I need a developer?
