AeroChat answers those conversations and works with AWeber as it goes. It checks whether someone is subscribed and what they signed up for, and it adds or updates them with their consent, records their interests and unsubscribes them when they ask. It connects through AWeber’s public API. You describe the workflow in your own words, and AeroChat builds it.
What you can do with AWeber and AeroChat
- Add chat contacts to your list with consent. When someone agrees in chat to hear from you, AeroChat adds or updates them in AWeber with a record of how and when they agreed. Nobody is added without a yes.
- Answer subscription questions and unsubscribe on request. AeroChat checks the subscriber in AWeber, tells them what they are signed up for, and unsubscribes them or narrows what they get when they ask.
- Recognise returning subscribers. AeroChat looks up the subscriber by email and uses what AWeber already knows, such as their tags and the last message sent to them.
- Tag subscribers by interest. When someone asks about a product or topic, AeroChat adds the matching tag, which can start a campaign you built in AWeber.
- Record what they told you. AeroChat fills custom fields such as what they asked about, so your segments stay current.

How the connection works
AeroChat connects through AWeber’s public API. It reads and writes lists, subscribers and their status, tags, custom fields and each subscriber’s activity. Each workflow uses only what its recipe asks for. AeroChat adds someone to a marketing list only after they agree in the conversation.
To connect, you create a free developer account at AWeber Labs, create an app and copy its client ID and client secret. AWeber’s API reference explains the steps. Enter them in the AeroChat dashboard, then sign in to your AWeber account on AWeber’s authorization page to approve the access when AeroChat asks.
You describe the workflow in your own words. AeroChat builds it as a draft, works out which AWeber calls it needs, and asks you to connect. Keys and credentials are entered in the AeroChat dashboard and never pass through the conversation.

When someone in chat says they want our newsletter or offers, ask for their email and confirm they agree to receive marketing emails from us. Only if they say yes, add them as a subscriber to our Main list (example) in AWeber with their name and email, and add the tag source-chat. If they say no, carry on helping and add nothing.

When someone asks about one of our products or topics, such as the home workout plan (example), find their subscriber in our Main list (example) in AWeber by email. Add the tag for that interest, such as interest-home-workout (example). Set the custom field last_chat_topic to the topic (example). Do not change their subscription status. Reply in the customer’s language.
Who uses it
Small businesses, coaches and online sellers that run their newsletter and follow-up emails in AWeber can use it to grow their list from chat and to answer list questions without a login.
What stays in AWeber
AWeber stays your record. Your lists, subscribers, tags, segments, campaigns, broadcasts and reporting live there, and you still write and send the emails.
AeroChat handles the conversation. It reads and updates the subscriber records your recipe asks for and leaves the rest to AWeber and your team.

Yes. AeroChat connects through AWeber’s public API with an app you create in AWeber Labs and approve with your AWeber login.
Can WhatsApp contacts join my AWeber list?
Yes, when they agree in the chat. AeroChat asks first, and only adds them to your list in AWeber after a clear yes. If they say no, it carries on helping and adds nothing.
Do I need a developer?
No. You describe the workflow in your own words, create an app in AWeber Labs, enter its client ID and secret, and approve the access, and switch it on. AeroChat builds the AWeber connection from your description and shows a checklist of what is left to do.
