Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the AeroChat platform and services (the "Service"). It is incorporated into and forms part of AeroChat's Terms of Use at aerochat.ai/legal/terms. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

AeroChat is a self-service platform. You are responsible for how you configure and deploy the Service, including what your chatbot says to your end-customers. This AUP exists to protect AeroChat, other Customers, and the public from misuse.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the AeroChat platform and services (the "Service"). It is incorporated into and forms part of AeroChat's Terms of Use at aerochat.ai/legal/terms. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

AeroChat is a self-service platform. You are responsible for how you configure and deploy the Service, including what your chatbot says to your end-customers. This AUP exists to protect AeroChat, other Customers, and the public from misuse.

1. Merchant Responsibilities

As the operator of your AeroChat account, you are responsible for:

  • All activity that occurs under your account, whether by you or your team members;

  • Ensuring your chatbot is configured accurately and does not provide false, misleading, or harmful information to your end-customers;

  • Keeping your knowledge base, instructions, and workflows up to date;

  • Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in every jurisdiction where you operate.

AeroChat is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of your chatbot's responses to your end-customers.

2. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Service, or permit any third party to use the Service, for any of the following purposes:

2.1 Illegal Activity

  • Any purpose that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations;

  • Facilitating, promoting, or assisting any unlawful activity, including fraud, money laundering, or tax evasion;

  • Violating the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, or patent infringement.

2.2 Deceptive and Harmful Conduct

  • Configuring your chatbot to impersonate a person, company, or official authority in a misleading way;

  • Deploying the chatbot to make false claims about your products, services, pricing, or policies;

  • Using the Service to generate or distribute misinformation, disinformation, or deliberately false content;

  • Engaging in bait-and-switch tactics or other deceptive commercial practices via the chatbot.

2.3 Harassment and Abuse

  • Using the Service to harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse any individual;

  • Configuring your chatbot to generate content that is hateful, discriminatory, or offensive on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic;

  • Directing abusive, threatening, or offensive communications at AeroChat staff or other users.

2.4 Privacy Violations

  • Collecting, storing, or processing personal data through the Service in violation of applicable data protection laws, including Singapore's PDPA;

  • Using the Service to harvest personal data without appropriate notice and consent;

  • Configuring your chatbot to solicit sensitive personal information — such as financial account numbers, passwords, or government identification numbers — without appropriate security measures and a lawful basis for collection;

  • Sharing or disclosing your end-customers' personal data in ways that violate applicable privacy laws or your own stated privacy policy.

2.5 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

  • Using the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications, spam, or commercial messages to individuals who have not consented to receive them;

  • Deploying automated messaging campaigns in violation of applicable anti-spam laws (including Singapore's Spam Control Act);

  • Using the WhatsApp or other messaging integrations to send promotional messages to contacts who have not opted in.

2.6 Security Threats

  • Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related systems without AeroChat's prior written authorisation;

  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other Customer accounts, or AeroChat's infrastructure;

  • Introducing or transmitting malware, viruses, trojans, or other malicious code via the Service;

  • Using the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair AeroChat's infrastructure or the experience of other Customers.

2.7 Prohibited Content

Your chatbot must not generate, promote, or facilitate access to content that:

  • Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene;

  • Depicts, promotes, or facilitates violence, self-harm, or harm to others;

  • Relates to the production, distribution, or sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or controlled substances;

  • Exploits, harms, or endangers minors in any way;

  • Constitutes hate speech or incitement to discrimination or violence.

2.8 Competitive and Unauthorised Use

  • Using the Service to build, train, or improve a competing AI or chatbot product;

  • Scraping, extracting, or reverse-engineering any part of the Service, including its AI models, algorithms, or underlying code;

  • Sublicensing, reselling, or white-labelling the Service to third parties without AeroChat's prior written consent;

  • Accessing the Service via automated means in a manner that exceeds normal usage or circumvents rate limits.

3. Responsible AI Use

AeroChat's Service incorporates AI that generates responses based on your training data and configurations. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated responses are probabilistic and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected;

  • You are responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and correcting your chatbot's behaviour;

  • You must not configure your chatbot to make definitive medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical recommendations to end-customers without appropriate disclaimers and professional oversight;

  • You must not use the Service to automate decisions that have significant legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without appropriate human oversight and compliance with applicable law.

4. Compliance with Third-Party Platform Terms

If you use the Service in conjunction with third-party platforms (including Shopify, WhatsApp via WABA, or other integrations), you must ensure your use also complies with those platforms' terms of service and acceptable use policies. AeroChat is not responsible for any violations of third-party platform terms resulting from your use of the Service.

5. Consequences of Breach

AeroChat reserves the right to take any of the following actions if you breach this AUP:

  • Issue a written warning and require remediation;

  • Temporarily suspend your account pending investigation or remediation;

  • Permanently terminate your account without refund;

  • Report your activity to relevant authorities where required by law;

  • Pursue any other remedies available under the Terms of Use or applicable law.

AeroChat may act immediately and without prior notice where a breach poses a security risk, legal risk, or risk of harm to third parties.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any use of the Service that violates this AUP, please report it to us at support@aerochat.ai with as much detail as possible. AeroChat will investigate reports and take appropriate action.

7. Modifications

AeroChat may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, applicable law, or emerging risks. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after any update constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing Law

This AUP is governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and is subject to the dispute resolution provisions in AeroChat's Terms of Use.
